Community Wildfire Protection Plans

Originally authorized and defined in the 2003 Healthy Forests Restoration Act (HFRA), CWPPS represent the best opportunity available to address the challenges of the Wildland/Urban Interface in a way that brings comprehensive and locally supported solutions. Santa Barbara County is fortunate to have numerous communities go through the process of developing CWPPs. The Fire Safe Council received a grant to fund the San Marcos Pass CWPP in 2019 and recently received funding to create a CWPP for the Gaviota Coast. You will find all certified CWWPs in Santa Barbara County in this section.
