Firewise USA is a voluntary program that provides a framework to help neighborhoods of all different sizes become organized, find direction, and take action to become more adaptive to wildfire by increasing the ignition resistance of their homes and community.
The SBCFSC staff can help with Firewise process, assist with connecting communities to relevant stakeholders, and/or conduct a free defensible space evaluation. They can also present to the community either in person or virtually about the Firewise Process and the benefits of joining the program.
